The sports track is a major project initiated by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in March 2019 to achieve Saudi Vision 2030.

By fostering an atmosphere that encourages leading a healthy lifestyle and participating in sports in all of its forms, the project seeks to improve Riyadh’s internationally recognised standing.

Sports Track and the World’s Tallest Tower

A significant cultural shift has occurred for the Saudi community in Riyadh as a result of the construction of the world’s tallest sports tower, making the city a sought-after place to live.

The project is in line with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman 2030’s goal of improving Riyadh’s standing in the eyes of the international community.

That puts the city among the top ten with the biggest economies in the world and helps improve the city’s quality of life.

The World’s Tallest Tower’s Specifications

Following approval of the tower’s final designs, you can learn the following:

  • The tower will take up 84,000 square metres of space.
  • The tower is 130 metres high.
  • The tower has the highest climbing wall in the world, standing at 98 metres.

  • The tower which will be Riyadh’s most noticeable landmark, sits on Prince Salman Road.

Sports Track

The goal of the sports path project is to encourage locals to engage in different sports, particularly bicycling, walking, and horseback riding.

The path hosts a variety of artistic, cultural, recreational, and environmental activities and events. The path that connects western and eastern Riyadh includes:

The world’s largest park, with an area of 135 km2

  • A collection of secure, wooded trails, with sections set aside for bicyclists, horses, and pedestrians.
  • A collection of over 50 different sports facilities and locations.
  • The open green area spans 4.4 million square metres between Wadi Hanifa and Wadi Al Sulay.
  • Technical and other investment sites with a total area of 3 million square metres.
