Saudi Media Transformation: Mr. Salman bin Yousuf Al Dossary, Saudi Minister of Media, has expressed his optimism for a brighter and more advanced future for Saudi media.

He has stated that 2024 will be a year of enormous Saudi development, particularly in the media. His Excellency has also emphasised the need to work on all methods to help the Saudi media flourish and become one of the best public sectors in the Arab world.

Moreover, he has placed a premium on establishing the fundamental benchmarks for constructing development plans. This will be accomplished through many initiatives, actions, and programmes.

It appears that 2024 will be a pivotal year in Saudi media history, as plans are being made for a substantial influx of skills that will allow all Saudi media centres and hubs to become forward-thinking.

Boosting Artificial Intelligence’s Standing in Saudi Media

Artificial intelligence technology has made its way into various Saudi areas, including the media industry, as a result of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s major attention to data and AI from the outset. To fortify this function, the Kingdom has founded the “Centre of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence in Media (SDAIA).”

This was the first technical centre of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa. It will work on various fronts, but chief among them will be keeping an eye on how artificial intelligence tools are evolving and how they reflect media reality.

Additionally, it will update and develop new capabilities to support the media message of the Kingdom, both domestically and globally.

Likewise, the Generative Artificial Intelligence Camp seeks to enhance the skills of content creators across all domains by equipping them with the newest technologies and teaching them the most effective techniques for achieving optimal outcomes. It also targets editorial directors in Saudi media corporations.

Saudi Media Growth Investments

Saudi Arabia seeks to significantly improve and broaden its media capabilities. In light of this, the Kingdom is expanding its modern media initiatives, which will undoubtedly contribute to the advancement of media reality and the achievement of the intended outcome in 2024—a dramatic conversion of Saudi media into a new entity.

Media Oasis Initiative

This initiative runs concurrently with any major conferences or events that the Kingdom hosts or participates in. Over 2,600 individuals have profited from it, representing over 455 media outlets from over 60 countries, and they have gained knowledge on over 40 domestic media initiatives in Saudi Arabia.

Media Zone Initiative

The goal of this initiative was to improve media knowledge across all of its vast branches and implications, while also offering a first-rate collaborative workspace for professionals working in a variety of media professions.

To assist and encourage artistic communities as they strive to become the best in Saudi media, to stay up to date with their advancements, and to help them along the way.

Saudi Media Forum

Annually, this forum takes place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, namely in Riyadh, the capital. It was set this year from February 19 to 21. One of the forum’s events was the Future of Media Exhibition, which saw participation by more than 200 Saudi and foreign businesses.

The largest exhibit of its type in the Arab East, it combines technology and media. This exhibition examines the cutting-edge experiences found in the contemporary, fully developed media sector.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hopes to push Saudi media to a very high level of modernity and technology with all of these forefront plans and initiatives.

Furthermore, the Kingdom hopes to harness the youth’s energy in a variety of media fields—including sports, politics, and all other kinds of media—in order to produce a new generation that will steer Saudi Arabia’s media landscape going forward.
