Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of two luxurious hotels in Jaumur, a spot-on Magna‘s Gulf of Aqaba, by 2027.
Essentially, the Jaumur complex features a 1.5-kilometre-long air wing over the main jetties, designed to offer year-round security for yacht owners while also serving as a platform for a range of tourist attractions, entertainment, and cultural activities. It also boasts a state-of-the-art 300-berth marina that can accommodate luxury yachts.
A Hub of Innovation
The complex will also house a cutting-edge research facility for investigating and studying the ocean’s depths, as well as a prestigious international boarding school run by a distinguished faculty of international experts and innovators that will draw exceptional students from all over the world and prepare them for success on a global scale in a variety of fields.
Luxurious shops and great dining establishments are available, together with the necessities for organising events, artistic programmes, and live performances all year long.
The first hotel is the Park Hyatt Jaumur, which has 125 rooms total—35 suites and 10 villas—and overlooks the bustling harbour in the neighbourhood. The hotel will include all the leisure and entertainment options sought by travellers seeking out distinctive travel experiences.
The second hotel, Andaz Jaumur Marina, has 225 contemporary rooms and suites with unique creative and cultural decorations that draw guests seeking a tranquil haven from the grind of everyday life.
The two hotels combine elegant architecture and sophisticated technology with the breathtaking scenery and seclusion of the seas to provide guests with comfortable lodging as well as hiking, cycling, water sports, art galleries, and a yacht club.
With the addition of the two hotels to the World of Hyatt program, over 48 million members will be able to take advantage of several special features, such as reward points, free stays, late check-out, and upgraded rooms.
A Partnership with NEOM
Hyatt’s President of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Javier Aguila, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to growing its brand in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, citing it as a major market for present and upcoming investment activities. Chris Newman, CEO of the NEOM Hotels Division, clarified that this strategic partnership with Hyatt aligns with the Kingdom’s vision to create opulent experiences that are meticulously at work following the highest standards of innovation and excellence.
Featuring 700 luxurious residential villas and 500 flats with a view of the marina, the Jaumur complex is the largest residential complex along the Gulf of Aqaba, housing 6,000 people. It is conveniently located near the waterfront and has all the amenities that those seeking out exceptional land and sea experiences could require.
The complex is part of the Magna project, which includes 12 major destinations spanning 120 kilometres and 15 hotels with over 1,600 rooms, suites, and hotel apartments capable of accommodating more than 300,000 hotel guests annually, as well as more than 2,500 high-end residential units.
There are 15,000 employment prospects in the tourist, entertainment, and hospitality industries thanks to the Magna project. By 2030, the project will likely increase GDP in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by around 2.6 billion Saudi riyals. Additionally, it offers investors and businesses the opportunity to participate in one of the biggest tourism initiatives in history.
Vision and Ambition
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund and investment arm, NEOM project, is the organisation that oversees the Jaumur complex. The Saudi Public Investment Fund is the main source of funding for the board of directors, which is presided over by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
The project creates opportunities for local, regional, and international partners and investors to make investments in the tourism and commercial sectors. The American Bloomberg Agency, citing sources, reported that the massive construction projects in the future city of NEOM have a value of $1.5 trillion.
It’s worth mentioning that the term “NEOM” is derived from two terms. The first three letters of “NEO” are from Greek and signify “new”. The last letter (M), (meem) in Arabic, represents two words: the first is the word (future), and the second is the initial letter of His Highness the Crown Prince, Prince “Mohammed” bin Salman.
