The Cruise Saudi Company, one of the biggest firms in the marine tourist industry, launched its first ship, Aroya, at Jeddah Islamic Port to boost Saudi maritime tourism.
A Floating Paradise of Comfort
The ship has 20 different entertainment amenities that are all interconnected. With 19 floors, 1,678 rooms and suites, 12 restaurants, and 17 cafés, the ship “Aroya” can accommodate 3,362 people. It also serves the greatest cuisine from all over the globe, emphasising Saudi history and spanning five continents.
A 1,018-seat theatre, a children’s section, prayer places, special hours for women in health and entertainment resorts, and extensive sports facilities, including a walking track, basketball and football courts, and a water games floor, are a few more features.
The Saudi Aroya cruise ship is a floating product designed to meet the needs of entertainment and comfort, and it sails along main routes that will be divided into three seasons. The first and main season will be in the Red Sea and will serve Saudi Arabia, and the first trip will begin in December to various cities in Egypt and Jordan between Jeddah, Sharm El Sheikh, and Aqaba to visit the city of Petra in Jordan.
Within Saudi Arabia, the voyages will begin in Jeddah and end in Yanbu, a private island in the Red Sea that will only be seen by cruise voyage pioneers. The voyage will leave Dammam and go to the Gulf nations, including the Emirates of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, before arriving in Bahrain and Qatar for the second season.
The voyage will leave Istanbul in the third season, which will take place during the Mediterranean summer. To guarantee their safety, travellers can sign up for medical insurance with Aroya Cruise Saudi Arabia. The insurance covers potential traveller accidents and emergency medical situations for a certain amount of time.
The Saudi Aroya Cruise Itinerary
In the Saudi Aroya Cruise itinerary, the ship navigates to Jeddah on the first day, then to Yanbu, then to Sokhna in Egypt, then to Safaga in Egypt, then to Aqaba in Jordan, where it spends another day at sea, and finally back to the port of Jeddah.
Aroya Cruises offers a variety of cruise routes, with some lasting three nights from King Abdullah Economic City, passing through Yanbu, and then returning to King Abdullah Port, and others lasting four nights from King Abdullah Economic City, passing through Yanbu, and then returning to King Abdullah Economic City.
Royal Caribbean, MSC Meraviglia, Celebrity x Cruise, and Carnival Cruise are just a few of the Cruise Saudi lines’ subsidiaries.
On the Saudi Aroya Cruise, guests may take part in a variety of activities, including live performances and international concerts, as well as water games and opulent gyms.
Aroya Cruise Saudi Arabia’s convenience for families is one of its most notable characteristics; it allows them to visit many locations in a week, eliminating the need to move their bags from one location to another.
Additionally, it is a great chance for workaholics to unwind because every activity on a cruise ship is included, so there is no need to look for things to do in many locations or worry about how to pass the time.
What Sets Aroya Cruise Apart?
Turki Qari, the spokesperson for Aroya Cruise Company, a subsidiary of the “Cruise” Company, one of the companies of the Saudi Public Investment Fund, said in a recent statement that the company emerged at the beginning of this year and that on December 16 it will start its first voyages aboard its ship. The ship will leave the city of Jeddah and travel in different directions across the Red Sea.
In an interview conducted on the fringes of the Arabian Travel Market exhibition in Dubai, he added that the main feature that sets Aroya Cruise apart from other international cruise ships is that it caters primarily to Saudi tourists, followed by Arab tourists. Moreover, everything on board will have an Arab flair, including restaurants and entertainment, and everything originates with Arab tourists’ preferences in mind.
Cruise Saudi purchased the ship for about $350 million at the beginning of 2023, he said, adding that the standards the company will provide on its ship will be higher than the usual levels because it represents Saudi Arabia and the Arab countries. Qari also disclosed the trip prices, pointing out that the Aroya Cruise ship has a section for “VIP” that includes 150 cabins, with prices varying but starting at 1200 riyals per person per day. The price per person includes all available activities and services.
By 2035, Saudi Aroya Cruises intends to construct two ships using only Saudi labour and industry, guaranteeing the advancement of Saudi Arabia’s capabilities.
