Every year, as part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Season activities, the Joy Awards are one of the Middle East’s most prestigious artistic and cultural gatherings.
On the evening of Saturday, January 18, many well-known Arab musicians, social media influencers, and other prominent figures from our Arab world attended the event, which also featured a lavish party.
Likewise, this celebration is significant because it honours artists and creators from all walks of life and promotes Arab culture worldwide. Further, the event helps elevate Arab art’s standing worldwide by showcasing Arab talents and the region’s high calibre of creative and cultural output.
The Joy Awards 2025 Winners’ Final List
Several musicians, celebrities, content providers, and influencers from the Arab world won awards during the fifth session of the Joy Awards, which had numerous competitive categories.
Favourite Gulf Series
Actress Razan Jamal and actor Basil Khayat presented this award for the favourite Gulf series. Meanwhile, the series, Shabab Al-Bomb, won it for the 12th season. Also, other shows that competed for the award were “Al-Naseem High School,” “One Wife is Not Enough,” “Shabab Al-Bomb Season 12,” and “Yadi Museum.”
Favourite Levantine Series
Indian actress Shraddha Kapoor presented the award for the second season of the award-winning television series “Al-Rawabi School for Girls.” Moreover, the series “Love Game,” “Sons of Badiaa,” and “The Agent,” which became very famous in the Arab world, and “Al-Rawabi School for Girls” in its second season were among the contenders for this honour.
Favourite Egyptian Series
Al-Atawla, Ashghal Shaga, Kamel Al-Adad +1, and Ne’mat Al-Avocato series. “Ne’mat Al-Avocato” is the outstanding winner of the award, which was given to the creators of the work by worldwide actor Keves Sutherland.
Favourite Actor in the Series Category
This year’s winner was actor Samer Ismail, who portrayed the character in the television series “The Agent,” regarded as the Arabic adaptation of the Turkish television series “Inside.” In addition, this year’s nominees for the award included Muhammad Al-Harbi from the second season of “Sondos,” Rasil Al-Otaibi from the same season, Al-Anoud Abdul Hakim from “The Spider’s House,” and Naif Al-Bahr from “Al-Naseem High School.” Along with Samer Ismail who was a candidate for the prize.
Favourite New Face in the Series Category
The Indian actor “Hrithik Roshan” gave the award to Anoud Abdul Hakim, who won for her performance in the television series “The Spider’s House”. Besides, this year’s contestants included Mohammed Al-Harbi for his performance in the second season of “Sondos,” Rasil Al-Otaibi for his role in the second season of “Sondos,” Al-Anoud Abdul-Hakim for his role in “The Spider’s House,” and Naif Al-Bahr for his role in “Al-Naseem High School.”
Favourite Oriental Series
Shraddha Kapoor, an Indian actress, presented the award to the winner, of the second season of the television series Rawabi School for Girls. Furthermore, contestants for this award included the television shows The Agent, The Love Game, The Sons of Badiaa, and The Second Season of Rawabi School for Girls.
Favourite Actress in the Series Category
This year, Sulafa Memar from Sons of Badiaa, Ilham Ali from Sondos’ second season, and Huda Hussein from One Wife Is Not Enough. Also, Nour Ali from Love Game were among the contestants for the award.
Favourite Series Director
In this Joy award category, Syrian director Rasha Hisham Sharbatji, who helmed the series Sons of Badiaa, received the award from filmmaker Miguel Sapojnik.
Favourite Film Director
Directors Ali Al-Kalthami, who directed “The Night Delegate,” and Tariq Al-Arian, who directed the third segment of “Sons of Rizk,” were vying for the award. Further, “Basma” is directed by Fatima Al-Banawi. Moataz Al-Tuni is the director of “Ex-Wife.” Ultimately, Tarek El-Arian, the director of Sons of Rizk, received the award.
Favourite Athlete Award
The football players that fought for the Favourite Athlete Award were Frenchman Houssem Aouar, Iraqi Ayman Hussein, Salem Al-Dawsari, and Yassine Bounou. Finally, the award went to Salem Al-Dawsari of Saudi Arabia.
