As one of the most significant women in Saudi culture, entrepreneur Asma Al-Joaib stands out among the bright names in this extensive record for having left a lasting impression on anybody who desires to achieve success.

Navigating the Business Landscape

Asma Al-Joaib committed her efforts to honing her abilities and gaining the knowledge required in the field of business, so her initial steps in the professional world were confident. She started out in the commerce, industrial, contracting, and services sectors before joining the board of directors of the Al-Joaib Group, which her father formed in 1975 and sold electrical appliances.

Thanks to her abilities and intellect, Asma, with the help of her family, turned a group into a varied organisation with many enterprises across various industries, including plastic forming, packaging, restaurants, furniture, commerce, maintenance, robotics, and artificial intelligence.

The Small and Medium Enterprises Authority chose Asma to join the REAP program in collaboration with MIT University, where she works to create creative solutions that benefit local entrepreneurs. Also, Asma is the Vice President of the Eastern Province Youth and Businesswomen Council.

Her aspirations extended beyond working in her family group; she was working hard to realise her dream, which began when she came up with the idea of opening a tea-focused café in Saudi Arabia. Moreover, the idea symbolised her love for English tea, which she aimed to bring to the Kingdom, as the most popular varieties of the world are often black and green tea.

She first developed a fondness for tea while pursuing a master’s degree at Regent’s University in Britain. There, she developed her tea-making abilities and discovered its mysteries by reading specialised literature and attending international tea shows.

Inspired by her passion for tea, Asma decided to share her story by offering pure herbal mixes that are meticulously prepared to suit specific temperatures, showcasing her dedication to the art of tea.

The Journey of Acuppa

The concept for her business, “Acuppa,” which has grown to be one of the most promising cafés in the Saudi city of Khobar, crystallised because she had support and encouragement from her family and friends.

The “Acuppa Tea” Café has gained widespread recognition and appeal and is in high demand among Saudi citizens and locals. Asma stated in a press interview that she recognised the significance of tea as a unique and ancient popular heritage in the area and carefully chose natural herbs while maintaining their health benefits. She offered a variety of high-quality blends with a clean, pure taste.

Her objective was to transform the idea of tea drinking from a domestic ritual to an activity focused on sipping tea in a contemporary café. “Acuppa Tea” has revolutionised the tea industry.

Besides, its excellent selection of tea kinds, served in elegant and sumptuous teaware, makes “Acuppa Tea” café stand out. Every item was selected with care to give tea sessions a creative touch that blends functionality and elegance.

Asmaa Al-Joaib aims to serve as an ambassador for her nation, promoting women’s opportunities for success, and expanding her business by distributing her brand “Acuppa” domestically and internationally.

Following a life-changing event, Asma Al-Joaib has emerged as a potent role model and inspiration for Saudi Arabian women, encouraging them to strive for excellence and conquer obstacles that appear insurmountable.

Asma, a remarkable Saudi Arabian businesswoman, was among the 50 leaders attending the B2021 workshop in Italy, representing commerce and investment in the Kingdom. She was also among the 20 most prominent women, symbolising greatness and motivation for achievement.
