Louvre Abu Dhabi

Bassam Freiha Art Foundation

The philanthropist and art collector HE Bassam Said Freiha founded the non-profit Bassam Freiha Art Foundation (BFAF). For more than 50 years, he has gathered pieces from the Orientalist art movement. Likewise, exhibitions held by the foundation showcase the collections of local and foreign patrons in addition to pieces from his collection.

Global, regional, and local art collections are the main emphasis of BFAF, the only private art foundation in Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island Cultural District that is free and accessible to everybody.
