The Hotel Show Dubai 2021, the largest and most influential exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa, announced that Dubai Tourism is credited as a supporting partner in the 2021 edition of the exhibition. It will run from May 31 to June 2, 2021, at the Dubai World Trade Center.
This partnership fits within the framework of Dubai Tourism’s plan, in recent years, to cooperate with the public and private sectors to revitalise and develop tourism.
The Hotel Show Dubai also welcomes support from the Hospitality Asset Managers Association (HAMA) in the Middle East and Africa, the region’s leading hospitality industry association.
Quick Recovery
Essam Kazem, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, said, “Thanks to effective leadership at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, Dubai was one of the first cities to reopen tourism and commercial activities, and this came through the introduction of a world-leading vaccine program quickly and efficiently.”
He added, “Collaborating with the public and private sectors also played an important role in driving this recovery, and we have worked closely with the hospitality sector to ensure that the highest levels of health and safety are maintained for both employees and guests while ensuring distinctive experiences for all visitors.”
The importance of The Hotel Show Dubai is evident, as it will serve as a platform for exchanging experiences, knowledge, and the best mechanisms and services to ensure that the hospitality sector is a major contributor to the economic activity of Dubai, which is striving to become the world’s leading tourist destination.
High Occupancy Rates
Dubai hotels ended 2020 with occupancy rates of about 71%, returning to pre-pandemic levels, the highest rate since February 2020.
Signs of recovery began in early June 2020, with occupancy rates reaching 80%. Experts expect the United Arab Emirates to be one of the fastest recovering tourism markets worldwide after the pandemic.
Experts attribute the UAE’s tourism activity to previous levels to its strong governance and regulatory framework and the activation of rapid vaccination.
Additionally, the upcoming Expo 2020 Dubai, now scheduled to run from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, will add to this recovery, supported by the increased pace of international vaccination campaigns with the gradual reopening of international borders.
The Hotel Show Dubai 2021 – an Important Platform
Rene Bell, HAMA president, commented, “The Hotel Show Dubai is an important and much-needed platform to reconnect with the industry after a long period of remote work and relative isolation, as our global hospitality industry thrives on human interaction and creating rich personal experiences. So we were waiting for an opportunity to communicate with our counterparts in this industry.”
Bell continued, “I am delighted that the leaders of the region will have such an inspiring few days to share knowledge and revive the spirit of support and common purpose. We at HAMA MEA feel proud that we have contributed to the continuous growth of professional asset management in the Middle East and Africa region. We remain committed to continue working closely with the public and private sectors with the aim of promoting professional standards, international tier practices, and accountability in managing hospitality real estate assets.”
100 Brands at The Hotel Show Dubai 2021
“The Hotel Show Dubai will bring together over 100 local and international hospitality brands to showcase the latest products and technologies, essential for the industry’s growth. The event will be an important moment for knowledge-sharing and a platform to reconnect,” said Jasmeet Bakshi, Group Event Director at dmg Events, the show’s organiser.
It is worth noting that The Hotel Show Dubai will attract suppliers of product, technology, and services that meet the needs of the hospitality sector in GCC countries through interior decoration, lighting, design, technology, security, kitchen, laundry, and more.
