Lina Gazzaz’s Most Significant Displays

Lina’s artwork has appeared in numerous international solo and group art exhibitions over the years. She participated in Meredith University’s annual exhibition in 1999, the year she received her degree; group exhibitions at the Visual Exchange Atelier in Raleigh, North Carolina; and an exhibition at the Lincoln Centre in New York.

In addition to the 11th group exhibition at the Atelier Visual Exchange, she had exhibitions in several locations in 2000, including the Atelier Amazing Glaze in Raleigh and New Monde Café. Her fame in the West started with these exhibitions.

Her participation in the first group exhibition of artists in the Kingdom at the Jeddah Atelier, the first group exhibition of contemporary Saudi art at the UNESCO Palace in Beirut, and another exhibition of small-scale artworks in Beirut made 2001 a significant year in her artistic career.

After making an impression, her work was once more displayed in 2002 at the UNESCO Palace in Beirut. This time, it was an individual exhibition with a Saudi and Arab heritage-inspired focus on women in their diverse contexts. She took part in Khan al-Franj’s inaugural group exhibition of Saudi contemporary art in Sidon, Lebanon, that same year.

Year after year, she remained creative and broadened the range of her exhibitions. In 2006, she participated in the inaugural Al-Mahabbah Festival in Dubai and took home a noteworthy prize. Then, in 2008, she participated in a solo exhibition at the Al-Alamiyah Gallery in Jeddah called “The Prophet’s Mosque and His Message.” In her paintings, she examined facets of the Prophet’s life and the beauty of the Prophet’s mosque.

Lina Gazzaz shone in Saudi Arabian and international exhibitions. She participated in Jeddah’s Saudi Contemporary Exhibition in 2021 and, most recently, this year’s “Art of the Kingdom” exhibition.

Honours and Recognition

He claimed that her paintings, which portray the life of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), exhibit a unique artistic vision that embodies the love and peace that are the core teachings of Islam.
