Fahad Al-Mubarak’s biography
Born in 1955, Dr. Fahd lived his early years and adolescence in Saudi Arabia, where he also finished his secondary education.
Dr. Fahd Al-Mubarak’s academic background
Fahd Al-Mubarak attended university in America, specialising in various fields, and was able to quickly establish himself as a prominent figure in the Arab political and economic fields.
He studied at Dallas’ Southern Methodist University for his education.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the American University in 1981, Fahd Al-Mubarak went on to earn a master’s degree in industrial engineering.
Fahd Al-Mubarak’s doctorate in business administration from the University of Houston in 1991 is one of his most significant academic credentials.
In 1989 and 1990, he also earned master’s degrees in accounting and taxation and business administration, respectively.

Dr. Fahd Al-Mubarak was a prominent member of numerous companies and councils, with the most notable being:
Member of the Board of Directors of the Palestinian Arab Investment Company from 1995 to 2000.
He served as a member of the management of Al Malaz Company from 2000 to 2002.
Member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi company “Sable”, which specializes in basic industries.
He also served as a member of the Board of Directors of International Insurance for one year.
He held a position in the Saudi Stanley Company from 2005 to 2011, and the Saudi Carrefour Department Store Company.
Member of the Board of Directors of Mobily Telecommunications Company and Union for 7 years starting in 1998.
Member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Hollandi Bank.
Part of the team specialized in negotiations with international and international oil companies for gas projects within the Kingdom in 2000.
In 2018, Fahd Al-Mubarak became a member of the Council of Ministers and Minister of State, serving until January 2021.
He previously served as Governor of the Saudi Central Bank from January 24, 2021 to February 2, 2023, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC).
