The Kingdom is preparing to hold “Riyadh Music Week 2024,” one of the most important international music festivals, from November 11 to November 19, 2024 (9–17 Jumada Al-Awwal 1446 AH).

The event's goals are to boost Saudi Arabia's music industry and provide local, regional, and worldwide musicians a platform to participate and produce, helping to establish the Kingdom as a major Middle Eastern cultural hub. A range of events and activities that enhance the music scene and facilitate communication between experts and amateurs are part of the Music Week agenda. Moreover, the event covers significant subjects such as contemporary innovations in the music industry, the difficulties that artists face in the digital era, and how the musical arts have evolved alongside technological advancements. These activities will transform Riyadh Music Week into a singular event that blends cutting-edge innovation with rich tradition. One of the week's most notable activities is the hosting of a worldwide music hackathon, which brings together artists and programmers to develop cutting-edge musical instruments and apps. Furthermore, the “Melody of the Kingdom” event will also take place, celebrating Saudi national melodies, as will the “Singing in Classical Arabic” event, which revives the singing skills in classical Arabic, as well as the “Tar” event, which focuses on promoting Saudi musical history. Additionally, the event will include the “Music Cities Awards 2024” conference, which will bring together a global network of music makers and experts to discuss current trends in the industry through workshops and dialogue sessions. This will give attendees the chance to share ideas and experiences with leaders in the field. In keeping with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which seeks to establish Saudi Arabia as a major hub in the international art scene and a global cultural centre that celebrates music and the arts, Riyadh is hosting this event as part of the Saudi Ministry of Culture's efforts to promote international cultural exchange.
