His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defence, is holding the 1st International Forum for Non-Commissioned Officers in Riyadh from November 18 to 19, with the subject “Development and Empowerment.”

The 1st International Forum for Non-Commissioned Officers forum seeks to empower non-commissioned officers, increase their understanding of their tasks, and develop a distinguished leadership generation that supports the strategic objectives and vision of the Ministry of Defence. Additionally, it exchanges leadership experiences with military agencies inside and beyond the Kingdom and acts as a model for the ministry's growth.

Developing Competencies

The Ministry of Defense's non-commissioned officers arrange the international forum under the direct direction of His Excellency the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili. In light of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, it will include dialogue sessions to address the role of leaders in developing leadership competencies, the opportunities and difficulties of empowering women in the Ministry of Defence, the components of creative leadership and how it affects institutional performance, and strategies for cultivating exceptional leaders. The event will include non-commissioned officers from sister and friendly countries, the Ministry of Defence, and other military sectors. In addition to hearing a review of the concept of mission leadership, they will hear presentations on how non-commissioned officers may attain joint operational excellence and distinction. Additionally, the event will include an awareness display that will showcase the Ministry of Defense's growth program, the leadership responsibilities of non-commissioned officers, and creative models from other military branches. The Together Program, the I'tizaz Program, the School of Non-Commissioned Officers Leadership in the Land Forces, and the School of Non-Commissioned Officers Leadership in the Air Forces will also be highlighted.
