The International Conference on Conjoined Twins, 2024 will take place at Hilton Riyadh, November 24-25, 2024

It brings together medical professionals, humanitarian organisations, and others interested in conjoined twins to discuss challenges, achievements, partnerships, and suggestions related to twin separation. Participants from around the world, including conjoined twins, will share experiences to understand challenges and opportunities in this field, promoting unity to address difficulties. The International Conference on Conjoined Twins, 2024 will commemorate the achievements of the Saudi Conjoined Twins Programme, which has been in operation since 1990, a programme that separates and cares for conjoined twins worldwide in Saudi Arabia, supported and sponsored by the government. Moreover, the programme, renowned for its medical excellence, has successfully separated 60 twins from 136 cases from 26 countries through its surgical team. Experts and humanitarian organisations, including UNICEF, WHO, and Physicians for Peace, will discuss conjoined twin separation through scientific sessions and discussions, aiming to improve outcomes and overall quality of life for children and their families. The conference will feature a diverse range of attendees, including medical professionals, surgeons, researchers, policymakers, medical technology companies, universities, hospitals, conjoined twins, and experts. Experts in conjoined twin separation and humanitarian organizations will participate in scientific sessions focusing on the health and protection of children, as an integral part of conference sessions and scientific sessions. The scientific part of the conference aims to discuss knowledge, medical advances, learning, communication, ethical and legal considerations, raising awareness, networking opportunities, medical presentations, case studies, surgical demonstrations, research, scientific poster presentations, workshops, and training courses. The humanitarian aspect of twin separation will be addressed by UN organisations and international NGOs, focusing on child health and protection, to identify ways to support conjoined and separated twins and their families, as well as healthcare for vulnerable children.
