The General Authority for Literature, Publishing, and Translation is organising the Jeddah International Book Fair, 2024, which will take place from December 12–21 at King Saud University in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

The annual exhibition provides publishing houses with a unique opportunity to showcase their latest works in a culturally rich setting and engage with a diverse readership both within and outside the Kingdom. The event serves as a literary festival that unites a fantastic array of publishing companies with a wide range of choices that encompass the core ideas of authors, philosophers, and artists. Moreover, the exhibition offers a diverse cultural program with lectures, seminars, and job opportunities, as well as a Children's Zone with workshops in fashion, music, writing, cooking, theatre, and puppet making. The Jeddah International Book Fair features a children's theatre and comics and animation training program, aiming to educate children and increase their interest in cultural events. It also showcases anime comics and manga art for Japanese drawings, with wings observing various events in this field. Last year, the Jeddah Book Fair, covering 34,000 square meters, featured around 1000 local, Arab, and international publishing houses across 400 wings, offering hundreds of thousands of book titles across various cultural and scientific fields. The exhibition featured various areas including the Roshan Cultural Theatre, manga and fantasy, science and general knowledge, Jeddah Reads French, literature, young children's literature, children, religions, workshops, the Heritage Commission pavilion, the Saudi author's corner, a signing platform, a reading area, and a café. The Jeddah International Book Fair, organised by the General Authority for Literature, Publishing, and Translation in Saudi Arabia, is the second-largest book fair in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, following the Riyadh International Book Fair.
