Suha Al-Alawi is a Saudi woman with a wealth of financial and economic expertise. She started her academic career with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree before receiving a prestigious scholarship to pursue a master’s and PhD in the UK.
She graduated from the University of Exeter with a master’s degree in Finance and Investment and the University of Bath with a PhD in Corporate Governance and Finance.
Moreover, Al-Alawi has held positions at several international financial institutions inside and outside the Kingdom, participated in numerous conferences, and earned international certifications in management, strategic planning, leadership, and business accreditation.

Following her return to the Kingdom, she spent six years as the supervisor of the Finance Department at the College of Economics and Administration. At King Abdulaziz University, she also had a significant impact in the area while serving as an associate professor in the Finance Department of the College of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
Her research centred on the application and outcomes of market regulation, corporate governance, green finance, and international finance when she was named Head of the Financial Department in 2014. Since 2014, she has also been an active member of the Scientific Society for Investment and Finance, demonstrating her continued dedication to scientific research and professional growth.
Notably, as the head of King Abdulaziz University’s Strategic Plan for Financial Sustainability, Al-Alawi has extensive experience serving on many committees inside and outside the college. She has also made significant contributions to numerous economic analyses that have appeared in regional periodicals and newspapers, such as the Al-Youm newspaper.
Likewise, she has made several significant contributions to peer-reviewed scientific publications on various subjects, such as corporate governance, international finance, financial sustainability, and green finance.
