Event Details

The second edition of the Global Arabian Horse Tour 2025, organised by the Saudi Equestrian Federation, will take place in Riyadh from April 9 to 12, with participation from the most notable Saudi, Gulf, Arab, and international stables.

The most exquisite purebred Arabian horses, which have a long history in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, will be on display at this event. It seeks to improve the area's standing in Arabian horse contests both domestically and internationally, increase public understanding of the value of equestrian sports, and entice investors to the area. Additionally, it aims to raise the standard of Arabian horse shows by organising competitive events that unite diverse cultures. A total of nine rounds make up this year's Global Arabian Horse Tour, which starts in Katara, Qatar, from February 5 to 8. The next rounds will take place in Muscat in March, Riyadh in April, Cannes in France in June, Valkenswaar in the Netherlands in July, London in August, and Rome in September. The Saudi Equestrian Federation, established in 1989, represents Olympic equestrian sports in Saudi Arabia. It promotes local equestrian sports, creates policies, provides a welcoming environment for enthusiasts, assists owners, riders, and training facilities, and strengthens connections with Arab and Islamic equestrian federations. The Federation has hosted 69 championships since its founding, including 16 international ones. This shows its dedication to advancing equestrian sports in the Kingdom, as it oversees a range of regional and global competitions, such as endurance, peg catching, and marathons. The General Equestrian Federation hosted several important international championships last year, including the first-ever World Cup for Horseback Shooting, the Longines World Cup for Show Jumping, and the 2024 World Cup for Show Jumping and Dressage, the first of its kind in the Middle East. Notably, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia prioritizes horse racing events, promoting the activity through the Abaya and Hail Championships for Purebred Arabian Horse Beauty, which were held in 2023 and 2022, following the Kingdom's International Championship in 2022.
