Modern engineering design, architecture, and pure beauty come together to create an exceptional, lavish cruise destination worldwide. That is what the Saudi Sindalah Island project in the Red Sea achieves.

In 2022, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman began the development of Sindalah Island in NEOM, a popular destination for luxury cruise tourists worldwide, while upholding the strictest environmental preservation and sustainability guidelines. The Red Sea is home to Sindalah Island, which is 840,000 square metres in size. By 2028, the project will likely draw about 2,400 visitors every day.

According to the project’s CEO, Nazmi Al-Nasr, Sindalah Island strengthens NEOM’s initiatives to promote upscale travel in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The island features an 86-berth marina equipped with the latest technological advancements.

NEOM Project

One of Saudi Vision 2030’s initiatives, the $500 billion Saudi eco-zone called NEOM, aims to diversify the Kingdom’s economy.
A $500 billion integrated plan, NEOM was announced in 2017 and calls for constructing ten futuristic cities across a 26,500 square kilometre desert area stretching from the Kingdom’s northwest to the borders of Egypt and Jordan.

The most ambitious of these cities, and the one that has made the most news, is “The Line,” a linear city made up of two parallel skyscraper walls that are 500 metres high each and only 200 metres wide overall, including the space between them. The Saudi Public Investment Fund, local and foreign investors, and a unique NEOM project authority oversee the project, which utilises only renewable energy sources for power.

Together with the NEOM project, Saudi Arabia is working on 13 large-scale construction projects, or “giga-projects,” that will cost trillions of dollars. Several luxurious resorts on Red Sea islands, an entertainment city outside the capital, Riyadh, and numerous other tourist and cultural attractions are among them.

Saudi Arabia continues to work towards Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy of the world’s largest crude oil exporter through mega-investment projects in various vital sectors that will elevate the country to global levels.
