Event Details
The inaugural International Entrepreneurship Research Conference (IERC), 2025, will take place at Prince Mohammed bin Salman College (MBSC) of Business and Entrepreneurship from January 20 to 23.
The theme of the 2025 International Entrepreneurship Research Conference (IERC) is “The Future of Entrepreneurship, Family Businesses, and Educational Research: New Trends and Innovative Practices.” Moreover, the conference aims to explore emerging entrepreneurship trends and practices globally, promote research designs and methods, and highlight the role of entrepreneurship in job creation, national income, societal advancement, research and development, and innovation popularity. It also seeks to develop new research designs and methods for studying these trends. Notably, the conference brings together scholars, businessmen, entrepreneurship educators, family businesses, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss resource acquisition, strategy, financing, SME growth, and international entrepreneurship. Additionally, the conference focuses on social and sustainable entrepreneurship, women and family entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship ecosystems, social and human capital, research methods, and business incubation. The International Entrepreneurship Research Conference (IERC) awards various prizes, including Best Paper Award, Distinguished PhD Student Research Award, Best Research Paper on Family Business, EE&P Entrepreneurship and Pedagogy Award, Best Innovation in Pedagogy Award, and Best Influential Policymaker Award. Besides, an international partnership arrangement led to the establishment of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman College (MBSC) of Business and Entrepreneurship between Emaar, The Economic City, Babson Global, and Lockheed Martin. The college was established under the Economic Offset Program in Saudi Arabia and the Misk Foundation. The college adopts Babson College’s unique approach to teaching entrepreneurship, which includes a set of distinctive experiential courses that require students to apply what they learn to real-world problems or start new social or commercial projects. A network of mentors and advisers with expertise in this area oversees this process. Their development continues outside the classroom through a set of experiences, and their purpose is to integrate with the academic curriculum to enhance and build students’ entrepreneurial leadership experiences.
