The Royal Saudi Naval Forces is organising the third edition of the Saudi International Maritime Forum 2024, which will take place in Jeddah on November 19, 20, and 21, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

Held yearly in November by the Royal Saudi Naval Forces and sponsored by Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the International Maritime Forum features the most recent systems, equipment, and technology in the maritime industry along with developments in the marine environment and security concerns. Additionally, the Royal Saudi Naval Forces are constantly developing their programmes and systems to address the country's extensive marine environment, which spans 3,400 kilometres, to address regional and international maritime challenges. The Saudi International Maritime Forum 2024 and its biannual exhibition bring together naval pioneers from around the world, showcasing innovative concepts, experiences, and research on maritime security, at the military, scientific, and technical levels, to stay ahead. Moreover, the forum aims to enhance Saudi Arabia's role in preserving global peace and security, aligning with the Ministry of Defence's objective of becoming a cutting-edge organisation for defending the Kingdom's interests and security. The forum's five primary axes—reviewing strategic sea lanes, regional threats, maritime security, and corridors in the context of international law, as well as preventing marine crime through international cooperation— show up by knowledgeable and experienced experts through workshops. Besides, the forum aims to present contemporary concepts for protecting strategic sea passages, discuss international law applications, unify efforts against threats to maritime security, and raise marine environment awareness. It also seeks to improve cooperation between the Royal Saudi Naval Forces and friendly countries' navies, secure freedom of international maritime navigation in strategic straits and passages, and protect communication lines in strategic sea passages. The Saudi International Maritime Forum demonstrates the latest maritime technology and equipment, allowing decision-makers and specialized businesses to discuss the potential and challenges of safeguarding key sea routes, and attracting global and local businesses.
